  • Sports55 Multimedia - A look inside production (created June 5th 2009)

    Sublimation Printing
This video was filmed at Sports55 (May 2009)

Click here to view video - Each jersey begins as a graphic and is then printed as shown in this video. The jerseys is printed on paper and is later transfered to fabric. With the latest technology each jersey can take between 3 and 6 minutes to print. Sports55 can print and transfer up to 250 jerseys a day in house. After print and transfer each jerseys must be cut and sewn together. It takes on average about 8 minutes to cut one jersey. Then it takes roughly 15 minutes to sew one jersey.

    Transfering Sublimation Print to Fabric
Lets take a look at the fabric transfer process. (June 2009)

Click here to view transfer video - Each jersey on paper must be rolled through our press so that the logo will be dyed into white fabric. The fabric is heated up to 400 degrees in order for the dye transfer to take place.
